Tundra arrived at DEW Haven needing a lifelong refuge. Unlike lions in the wild savannah, Tundra has fully embraced Maine's snowy winters, often seen bounding through fresh snow drifts and playing with heavy-duty tire enrichment.

Mufasa
Mufasa's Story
Mufasa reigns over the lion ridge at DEW Haven. Known for his deep, resonant morning roar that echoes through the Mount Vernon valley, Mufasa enjoys resting on elevated wooden platforms built by our staff.

Chewy
Chewy's Story
Chewy is one of DEW Haven's most acrobatic and playful residents. Rescued as a young bear who could not survive in the wild, Chewy spends brisk spring mornings climbing high into custom wooden platforms and swimming in his pool.

Zeus & Khaleesi
Zeus & Khaleesi's Story
Zeus and Khaleesi are inseparable siblings who came to DEW Haven as young cubs from an overburdened facility. The duo are frequently spotted grooming each other or lounging side by side in their shaded wooded compound.

Fallen
Fallen's Story
Fallen is the gentle ambassador of the DEW Haven hoofstock pastures. Friendly and inquisitive, Fallen eagerly greets visitors along the fence line to receive feed cup pellets.

Odette
Odette's Story
Odette arrived at DEW Haven from an illegal private pet trade confiscation. Spider monkeys are social arboreal primates who require immense mental stimulation and swinging structures.

Rescued from a fur farm closure where he was born in captivity and lacked the instincts to survive wild release in Maine.

Surrendered by an exotic pet owner who was unprepared for the complex arboreal housing and nutritional needs of a full-grown bearcat.
